Synopsis
Colourful dramatisation of the birth, life and death of Jesus Christ. The film also depicts the tensions between Herod's court and the Roman administration, the execution of John the Baptist at Salome's behest, and the story of Barabbas, told in counterpoint to that of Jesus.
