Synopsis

In northern Mexico, two rival drug cartels are at war, paralyzing the town of La Moneda with violence and destruction. After a young man named Lupe (Alejandro Speitzer) is caught in the crossfire, he gets a second chance at life when he’s transformed into a man-beast known as the Coyotl. While his friends, family and childhood sweetheart seek new ways to deal with the escalating brutality, Lupe must decide whether to embrace his new destiny as a guardian of the north. A modern folktale mixing fantasy and suspense, Coyotl: Hero and Beast (Cóyotl: Héroe y Bestia) conjures up an unlikely hero willing to risk his soul to save the people he loves most.
