Synopsis

Based on the true story of the 1976 murder of Brazilian socialite Ângela Diniz, this six-part drama series follows how her life, death, and ensuing murder trial led to a turning-point in feminist history and the country's judicial system. After marrying at the age of 17 and becoming a young mother, Ângela makes a splash in the tabloids when she decides to divorce her husband in a still relatively conservative 1970s Brazil.
